How to attain gratitude in life?

Remember the Blessings.

One of the ways to feel gratitude is to remember the blessings you have. The blessings which God bestowed upon you. It starts from major achievements you acquired in your life to the almost unnoticeable, even I would say taken for granted favors upon you.

What are they?

The major achievements are the one which you have endeavored and certainly acknowledge it. No doubt about it.

The minor ones are the one that is mostly taken for granted or forgotten. Apparently, I am referring to your health, skills, and talent.

Express gratitude to yourself.

Are you grateful that you are healthy: that you can see, hear, smell, walk, and talk. Are you grateful for the attained skills that you can read, write, learn, or memorize? Are you grateful for your specific talent which you are good at?

Furthermore, the more we go deep, the more we find hidden blessings: i.e. your heart pumps 60-80 times in a minute; your body turns right and left while sleeping without your knowledge, your hair fall but grows again and tons of them which I doubt if we can count them.

But!

What I encourage is to remember them all every single day and be grateful for that. It may find you grounded and balanced. What’s more, I encourage you to list them out and express the gratitude. This act may give value to your life. It may enhance appreciation within yourself.

And we know; if you feel yourself a valuable person – that means a way lot. That means you are someone who adds value to society, community, even someone’s precious life. And many more you can see on your horizon.

Express gratitude to others.

Another way to remember the blessings – appreciate the people around you. Whoever it is – parents, relatives, children, friends, and colleagues. You may show your gratitude by thanking them. Simply, thank them for just being around you, or for any small thing they have done to you.

They may not meet your expectations. But that’s okay. We always forget the fact that we all can be mistaken.

You may as well express your gratitude to strangers like a waiter serving you a meal, or barista serving the coffee, cashier assisting you to purchase store items. Simply say “Thank You”, and mean it.

Being thankful, grateful; and remembering the blessing – add beauty to life. Beautiful life leads to a happy life. And we all want to be happy.

Aren’t we?
