Feeling guilty! How to overcome it?
Overwhelming yourself with overthinking.
Sometimes, you find yourself feeling guilty over one mistake you’ve done, and it just overwhelms you. Why does it feel so badly guilty?
It may come from the following two reasons:
- You don’t usually do mistakes
- You’ve committed a major mistake
The first category of people is mostly the ones who are genuine, kind, and careful in their actions and speech. If you’re one of them – no wonders why does it feel so guilty. Because you are always careful in almost everything that you do. You carry a very modest way of life.
You do not like to boost neither you do not like someone boosting. You do not showcase how intelligent you are neither you do not try to hide it. You take everything in this life so simple and you interpret it to the World so simple. Coz, you have this ideology that everything that the World contains has no effect on me unless I wish it to be affected.
So, moving on!
If you are such a person and you did a mistake whether small or big – it will be quite easy to fix it. Following the way:
- Admit your mistake (for yourself and to a person)
- Simply apologize that you are wronged and promise yourself not to fall into this trap again.
- Try to fix the situation if it’s in your control
The most important fact that your acknowledged your mistake and apologized. After all we all do mistakes.
The second category of people can be anyone but committed a major unforgettable mistake. Wow. That’s a shame. Isn’t it?
The bigger problem is the more time and effort it consumes. And the good thing about it – it’s solveable.
Every problem has a solution
Arabic Proverb
First of all, we better start admitting mistakes rather than pointing fingers at others. Or blaming the situation and circumstances. Acknowledging and admitting and feeling sorry for the mistake indicates your courage and confidence. You are brave enough to take into your shoulder responsibilities to fix the issue. And you strive forward to gets things done. You are focused, positive, and goal-oriented: “I gotta fix it. And I will do it”.
Believe.
P.S. Life without believe is like a food without salt.
